On the ground floor of the Torre, I Castagni is a memory of the building’s origin as a Medieval watchtower. Walls are several feet thick, keeping the room cool even in the midst of summer, whilst the wood burning fireplace create a warm atmosphere in the cold months. Two French doors open onto a small private terrace with table and chairs, the perfect spot for a  an intimate breakfast. 

Down a flight of steps is the bathroom, formed from the original cellar of the villa and one of our most distinctive spaces with its vast stone barrel vault. It features a deep soaking freestanding bathtub with large separate shower and double vanity facing a deep slit window.
