Le Lappe is an intimate eleven room country house hotel set within the Tenuta Pratolino agricultural estate. Arriving at Le Lappe, guests wind their way down a half-mile long dirt road that cuts across the estate olive groves and skirts a hillside, immediately dictating a slower pace of life and encouraging an appreciation for the extraordinary natural beauty of our surroundings.
A slower way to stay
We are fortunate to be located in one of Tuscany’s last unexplored and agrarian regions, where centuries of tradition still exist to this date. At the core of our philosophy is an appreciation for beauty, both natural and created, and we are surrounded by it – whether exploring our woodlands, admiring our delicately hand-painted interiors, or sampling our locally sourced food.
The Pool
Perched beneath the Torre, our saltwater pool has a gentle curved edge follows the natural slope of the landscape — a perfect place to linger and admire the expansive views across the Chianti hills and the distant Valdarno. The surrounding pool terrace is shaded by a mixture of our ancient olive trees and custom umbrellas by Guido Toschi in our signature Oxblood color — the perfect place for a refreshing drink or light lunch.
Dining at Le Lappe
At Le Lappe food and wine are a matter of great pride and importance. Situated in one of the great agricultural areas of Italy we are surrounded by farms and vineyards which have been worked by generations of the same family, much like our own estate. The restaurant, located within our “Winter Garden” conservatory, glows at night with the light of hundreds of canldes, creating an intimate and dazzling atmosphere.
Upon reservation, we happily accommodate outside guests that would like to stop for lunch or dinner.

Le Lappe is a celebration of Tuscan craft and tradition, of atmosphere, authenticity, and a sense of belonging. Furniture is restored rather than replaced. Materials are left natural and honest. Spaces evolve slowly, collecting stories over time and allowing history, craftsmanship, and everyday life to remain visible throughout the experience.
